Services at April Media Productions are provided at standardised rates however, we know every project is different so please feel free to contact us to discuss your project and what you would hope to achieve here.

Payment & Terms of Business

We accept payment by BACS, cash, Paypal and cheque. We reserve the right to charge a 5% surcharge on Paypal transactions to cover our administration charges. We will require payment on account for larger or on-going projects or new customers. We will advise you at the time of booking.
All materials and copyright in sound recordings remain the sole property of April Media Productions Ltd. until invoices have been settled in full.
All bookings are subject to our terms & conditions.

Recording (Bands / Musicians / Singers)

Our studio rates include an experienced engineer and use of all facilities.

Weekdays: (0900-1700) -  £39.50p/h (inc)
Weekday Evenings: (1700-midnight min 4 hour booking) -  £28.50p/h (inc)
Weekends: (1000-midnight min 4 hour booking) -  £28.50p/h (inc)
Ad-hoc anytime: (min 1 hours booking) -  £39.50p/h (inc)

- Larger group sessions over 6 participants will be charged at our "Weekday" rate.

The Finishing Touches

Audio Mastering / CD & DVD Authoring

We can digitally edit, remix, rearrange and master your recordings. We can add that extra sparkle to any recording that you have previously made elsewhere. With a bit of magic, we can get your product to sound great on any audio system.

Mastering is charged at an hourly rate of £39.50 (min.1 hour)

Physical Media Production

CD / DVD / Vinyl Production

We can arrange the production of your CD / DVD / Vinyl without any need for you to worry about the often technically daunting process!  We'll be happy to talk you through it all and give you a competitive quote.

Online Music Distribution

We can arrange to get your music/podcast/video into the major online download shops and streaming services including iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Spotify... and many more. PPL/PRS taken care of at source for cover versions. You earn 100% royalties from sales.
We can also get your single released into the UK charts if you fancy a stab at the #1 slot! 

Service includes:

  • Set-up of your own account to analyse sales and transfer funds
  • Media format conversion from native supplied files/CD as required
  • Artwork creation / conversion to required spec
  • Admin research and submission for required royalties data
  • One-off inclusive fee to publishing company

Format Transfers (Audio and Video)

The transfer of audio or video between formats can be time consuming and often needs to be attended by an engineer. For that reason, we charge most format transfers at an hourly rate.

  • VHS Video to DVD (up 4 hours) - £25 (plus any blank media costs)
  • DVD to VHS Video (up to 4 Hours) - £25 (plus any blank media costs)
  • Cine Film to DVD - approx £0.30 per foot (plus any blank media costs) Please ask for a specific quote
  • All other audio and video format transfers are charged at an hourly rate of £28.50p/h (plus any blank media and post production costs)

Post production, e.g. bespoke DVD title/menu authoring is charged at £28.50p/h

We can take care of all your artwork requirements from CD / DVD design for packaging to poster / flyer design ready for print.

We use experienced designers who can bring a touch of class to any project, ensuring that all final proofs are to the exact specifications required for printing.

Our design rates are £39.50 p/h or we can quote on fixed prices for larger project work.

Learn The Tricks of The Trade

Training

We provide tailored one-to-one hands on training in our studio for many aspects of sound recording for all levels including:

- Studio design and configuration
- Recording and production techniques
- Audio editing
- Mastering (principles, outboard and software)
- Software including Logic X (and associated plug ins), Sound Forge 10, CD Architect 5

For Logic / studio training we have 2 engineers on hand so we can apply the theory to some real life simulated studio session recording (tailored to your specific training requirements) with vocals, drums, guitars and keyboards.

We also provide one to one training in Web Design

Training rates are £39.50p/h per person (Minimum 4 hours)

Corporate Video

Video recording in our studio or on location.

We have green screen facilities, (and other various backgrounds) 4K cameras, lighting, radio mics etc.
We also produce creative videos for various applications including business marketing, podcasts, documentaries and e-learning.

Rates start at £80p/h on site, (min 4 hours)

Dry hire for video/photo shoots at £40p/h (min 4 hours)

Music Videos

Music Videos

We film music videos in our studio or on location.

A decent music video which compliments your song is the best way to reach a whole new audience via YouTube etc.

We can work with with you to brainstorm and creatively develop ideas, storyboard, film and edit your music video to produce a superb video within your budget.

If you are looking for an extra 'Wow' Factor, then we also film and edit 360 VR video, and also have aerial capabilities making April Media Productions one of the first companies in the country to be able to do this.

Using a multiple camera set up, we can professionally film and edit your live gig.

If you're looking for something a little more unique, and to engage the viewer, how about a 360 degree VR video of your gig. They can look around the entire stage and audience to soak up the vibe of the gig.
